Fourtune 500 giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have given their customers an early Christmas gift this year. Starting December 17th for Fannie Mae and December 19th for Freddie Mac, all bank repossessions on houses will be suspended and will not resume any evictions unil the 2nd of January.
“The holidays are a chance to be with loved ones and we want to relieve some stress at this time of year,” said Terry Edwards, Executive Vice President of Credit Portfolio Management, Fannie Mae.
Bank of America is following suit and is also going to postpone foreclosure evictions on the loans that it maintains during the holiday season. This is starting to become a more common trend in recent years, with other companies such as JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Citibank having done recent postponements in the past.
The holiday season always seems to bring out the best in people, but that doesn’t mean that it needs to stop there. Here at Duncan Financial Group, we offer that type of kindness and service year round. Find out more how we can help you at 724-863-3420.
